My Diet Choices: Atkins Diet, Body-for-Life, South Beach Diet, and Quick Trim

Published by t2lindahamilton under The Plan Edit This

You’ve probably heard of most of these diet programs.  I’m considering all four of them because they are programs that can be followed long term and all involve healthy amounts of protein as well as the consumption of smart carbohydrates (those low on the glycemic index which are high in fiber and digested slowly so as not to cause an insulin reaction).  In a nutshell, I’ll be consuming more whole grains and vegetables while consuming fewer processed grains.

While the Atkins Diet allows for me to eat until I feel satisfied, it really doesn’t give me optimum results in a short amount of time.  I will be incorporating the high protein idea into my plan though.

The South Beach Diet is also a great program.  I plan to work in the healthy fats and whole grains facets of this into my program.

Body-for-Life is an excellent program but my desire to achieve maximum results in the first 8 weeks means I’ll need to be more precise in my measurements, at least in the first 8 weeks.

Quick Trim is the nutrition program used along with the Cybergenics Quick Trim package of supplements.  The Quick Trim program allows for limited carbohydrates that fluctuate every couple of days to keep the metabolism in high gear.  It also requires one to figure their protein intake very carefully.

Basically, I’ll be using the Quick Trim mathematics with the Body-for-Life food list.  Once I’ve reached my goal, I can maintain my new weight by adopting the Body-for-Life program long term.
